05/30/19 Update - Our team now has only $10,202 to go with a recent commitment for projects in Zambia and by scaling back some of the projects we had hoped to fund. All of our projects and initiatives for both South Sudan and Zambia directly benefit children with upgraded facilities, food, and education. Join us in blessing the children of South Sudan and Zambia today!

Mission Objectives: We are scheduled to deploy to South Sudan and Zambia on June 3rd. Currently there are two on the team that will meet-up with Pastor Garang in Nairobi before transiting to Aweil, South Sudan, where we have been feeding 300 orphaned children with our partner Christ Mission to the World.

We will also spend some time at the House of Faith & the House of Hope Orphanages in Zambia where we will work with the children over several days. The work of this movement to advance the cause of the widow and the orphan is the very heartbeat of the Father.

This deployment will be 23-days taking us through Kenya, South Sudan, and Zambia. We are realizing some savings in time and money by not breaking this into two separate missions, but 23-days and multiple flights make this a costly one-time commitment for our ministry.

While in South Sudan, we will be involved in considering alternative sources of food for the children, work to repair the sorghum grinder at one of the sites, meet with builders to consider the complexities of constructing school buildings in the future, visit each of the 2 feeding centers, and we will visit 2 additional areas where there are children in need. In Zambia, our focus will be a bit different as we work with the children on correspondence with their sponsors, gather data to update their profiles, and work on maintenance projects at each of the orphanages. And of course, we will be encouraging the local people wherever we go with the truth of the Gospel.
