Feed Orphan Children in Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan, & South Sudan
The situation remains dire for thousands of children in Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan, & South Sudan. We have been feeding children in our Nutrition Initiative since 2016 and the number of children in need is growing in each of the places we serve. For some, the aid that we provide may be the only meal they will receive during their day!
Your gift will provide funding for food for orphan children who are in need. You may want to consider making your support a monthly gift that will keep these children nourished every month!
To date we have provided an estimated 2.3 million meals to feed hungry children. Let's bring what we have to the storehouse and God will bless it on the behalf of these 2,000+ children!
Four of our eighteen Mission Projects fall within our Nutrition Initiative.
AWEIL COMMUNITY ORPHANS FEEDING PROGRAMME (ACOFP) involves a school feeding operation in three villages namely Adoor Village (Aweil East), Beliek Village (Aweil Central), and Lueth-Wek Village (Aweil East), and in turn increases access to education and improves nutrition for orphan children. Our program meets the development needs of Aweil Central County and Aweil East County both in Northern Bhar el Ghazal State by contributing to the goal of universal primary education targeting children living in areas of poverty and food insecurity by removing barriers to education such as hunger.
Since starting this program with feeding 300 orphaned children in South Sudan in 2016, we have fed these children five days a week. We have also encouraged many more to attend school in the process. We provided for approximately 2 million meals for vulnerable children since 2016, and we plan to serve a projected 495,540 meals in 2024 in Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan, & South Sudan. Any surplus raised will go to deliver meals beyond this time period, to increase the number of children served, or to increase the portion sizes to a growing number of children.
