Send 3 Orphan Children to School
HISTORY: In 2014 we began to consider alternatives to serving orphaned children beyond bringing them to an orphanage. As it were, we discovered that in the Southern Province of Zambia where we already served, and in the DR Congo, there were a large number of orphaned children not attending school because the extended families could not provide the resources needed. These children were being adequately cared for within the extended family, but the resources needed to send these children to school were not available within the family unit.
We started this effort in January 2015 by working with three schools to impact 230 children. In 2022, our Scholarship Fund now supports 642 precious children attending multiple schools in DR Congo, Kenya, and Zambia. Our most recent launch was in Ulutya Village located 135 km east-northeast of Nairobi, Kenya.
OBJECTIVE: To provide an opportunity for orphaned children to continue their education by providing school fees, uniforms, and other materials needed. You can help in breaking the cycle of poverty for these children while impacting their families and communities.
BUDGET: Based on current expenditure, partners, and expected number of children in 2022, our funding need is $22,849 for our Scholarship Fund to send 642 orphaned children to school in April through June which is the 2nd term in most of the countries we serve. Join us in sending orphan children to school in DR Congo, Kenya, and Zambia.
