Make a Difference for 100's of Children in Kenya

01/18/22 Update - Our team is now confirmed, and our President & Founder, Scott Nordstrom, will travel to Kenya next month to prepare for further growth for GO!'s ministry in Kenya in the coming years.

We will be hosting a Great Commandment kick-off event in Mombasa in preparation for a one-day workshop in August. We will then head to Nairobi where we will host a one-day Great Commandment Workshop to be attended by 200 church leaders in Nairobi.

We will also be spending time at Fortune Learners Centre, A Place of Hope Orphanage, JOY Education Centre, and Children's Garden Home while in Nairobi. We are looking to send additional teams with more frequency to this mission post in the coming years. The below is our outlined mission costs:

  • Assess Care for the children receiving aid through local partnerships in Nairobi
  • Church partnership development, and to work through the logistics for larger and more frequent mission team deployments
  • Ministry, serve, & fellowship in Mombasa & Nairobi Churches

LOCATION: Mombasa & Nairobi, Kenya

LEAD: Scott Nordstrom, President/Founder of GO!

TIMING: February 18 – March 2, 2022

MISSION RELATED: $4,500 -Travel, Content creation, video acquisition, partnership development, deploying Nairobi team to Mombasa, & Kenya product sourcing

GREAT COMMANDMENT WORKSHOP: $4,100 -Kenya team deployment, Great Commandment Kick-off Mombasa and Kangemi, and a one-day Great Commandment Workshop event at Parklands Baptist Church in Nairobi on February 26th.

SCHOLARSHIPS: $9,000 –Will fund only 20% of our projected Scholarship costs in Kenya for the expected 137 scholarship recipients in 2022

This gives us a total mission budget of $17,600 for this mission that also includes the launch of a new initiative (Church Mobilization) that will allow aid to reach even more children. We are grateful for several partners that have invested in this mission so far, so we only have $12,350 remaining to fund. We hope that you will decide to join us!

While In Kenya, we work with the children, complete needs assessment, and consider capital projects to invest in orphan children. And of course, we will be encouraging the local people wherever we go with the Gospel.

Our Great Commandment Workshop effort is focused on working with local church and ministry leaders to deploy the local church to care for the orphan children in their communities.

Any funds raised beyond this will be used to benefit the children we serve in Kenya. Thank you for your prayerful consideration to invest in the children in Kenya, Africa. You may also send support or other correspondence to Global Orphan Relief, 16352 Prairie Farm Cir, Parker, CO 80134.
