Change the Life for a Child Today!
We visited Zambia for the first time in February 2006 and today we care for 64 children in this country via our Home-based Care initiative.
Today we now serve 193 children through this initiative in Pakistan, South Sudan, and Zambia. Some of our children remain not funded, or underfunded, and they need sponsors for 2021 to keep the program financially viable. We are also planning to receive additional orphaned children in later this year and into 2022.
You can select from 4-sponsorship levels with each child being fully funded at $100 per month. Once you select your level of financial commitment we will match you with a child from one of our projects in Pakistan, South Sudan, or Zambia. The funding needed for this initiative in 2021 is $119,067. When considering our current sponsors for the children within this initiative we are in need of $48,950 in incremental funding for 2021, or 49 Platinum Sponsors.
As you might imagine, home-based care is the most expensive means of caring for an orphaned child. We do accomplish this a little differently though in that we host our children in homes where the residents become a family. They eat together, help each other with their studies, attend church, and just do life as a family. In addition, we do support a small segment of our children that stay with extended family. This process better maintains cultural and family bonds by assisting the host family with some level of support for the child. Your monthly support will fund their stay in one of our homes. If you can't budget the total costs of $100 per month at this time, give what you can and we'll pair you with other donors to provide complete funding for the child.
